How do I clean my abaya?

Washing

Wash your abaya by hand wash only. It is recommended to wash your abaya with cold water. Don't soak your abaya for longer than 10 minutes. Recommended is to use a mild detergent and to use only a small amount. Avoid rubbing the areas of embroidery but scrub the stained/dirty areas only.

Drying

After washing your abaya it is recommended to air dry your abaya and to avoid tumble drying. The heat and agitation of the dryer can wear out the fabric over time making it look dull. If you hand washed your abaya, gently wring out the excess water and let it dry on a flat service.

Ironing

It is recommended to press or steam your abaya inside out using a low heating setting. If you prefer to iron, it is recommended to use a low temperature and to not iron on the beaded areas.
